Winston Churchill once said, “Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.”  Our steward this month not only has the courage but also the knowledge, skill, and patience to sit with those who are grieving the loss of a loved one.  As a bereavement facilitator, Margie Duprey has not only been listening to the stories of those who grieve, but has helped many to find a path back to peace and joy in their lives.  She has been working in this ministry for the past fourteen years and was very instrumental in the development of our current program, “Pathway to Peace.”  Along with raising a family and working as a nurse, she has found the time to lovingly support those who find themselves at a  devastating point in their lives.  This is a  humbling ministry that she approaches with eloquence, knowledge, and skill.
