Got Palms? - From Palms to Ashes
February 15/16
Please bring your palms from home and place them in the container in the Narthex. The palms used on Palm Sunday are blessed at Mass. This means they shouldn’t end up in the trash! Per the instructions of the Roman Missal, ashes are made from last year’s Palm Sunday palm branches. These branches are burned down into a fine powder and mixed with holy water or chrism oil to create a light paste which is used on Ash Wednesday.
